Tell me a bit about yourself?
I'm a professional photographer living in San Francisco. I've lived in SF for nearly 10 years and I have a flat with my fiancé, Zack, where we can see the Golden Gate Bridge from our windows. I love my family, traveling, cooking for others, photography, and the beach life.
Can you describe yourself in 3 words?
Creative. Loyal. Loving.
Where do you call home?
I consider my family's summer home in New York my true home. I currently live in San Francisco.
What do you enjoy most about living in San Francisco?
The city is very beautiful. The food is amazing. There are a lot of very motivated people here. The weather can be difficult but the surroundings make up for it.
What motivates you?
Inspiring others. Seeing my clients really happy when we work together.
What does your typical day consist of?
My days are so different. Some are spent shooting, some editing, some meeting with clients. My favorite days are travel days - I love exploring new places.
How do you spend your days off?
With Zack or with friends.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Tough to say. I don't know if I've accomplished it yet. I think that having children would be it.
Where do you source inspiration?
Travel is hands down my biggest source of inspiration.
What made you decide to pursue a career in photography?
I sort of fell into it in a way. I was working as a creative director and ended up looped in to many photography projects. It was a then-hobby but quickly became my full-time job. I was working a job I hated in a toxic environment that stunted me both professionally and personally. That was enough fire to set out on my own. It was the best decision ever to start my own business, I now get to work with the most wonderful creatives. I haven't looked back since. I'm also immensely grateful for the network and support I now have from other female business owners.
What are your beauty secrets?
Keep it simple! I don't wear much makeup and I don't go crazy with skin products. I never scrub, get facials, or do anything abrasive to my face - only use a gentle micelle clenser at night and cold water to rinse. I have naturally blonde hair that I don't dye or highlight so this keeps it very healthy and fast growing. I use heat sparingly and condition with Oribe. I drink a massive amount of water throughout the day and take a b12 and multivitamin. Alcohol ages you, really fast, and we mostly stick to a no-weekday-drinking schedule (except on holiday!)
LeLabo - just amazing.
How would you describe your personal style?
Laid back. California. Unfussy.
What is it you love about Silk Laundry?
It fits my style exactly. The pieces are truly effortless and they are relevant in so many scenarios. This also makes them perfect travel pieces.
What is your favourite Silk Laundry piece?
It would be hard to pick just one but my silk shoulder tie dress is something I've put in my suitcase on every trip and I've been wearing all summer long. It's classic, easy, and I pair it with flat sandals for a daytime look and throw on a leather jacket and jewellery for a nighttime look.
