Oshadi

Oshadi, a regenerative fashion initiative based in India, utilises traditional Indian artistry and agricultural practices to consciously navigate every step of garment production. Their 250-acre regenerative cotton farm supports biodiversity, carbon absorption, and healthy soil, while natural dyes minimise environmental impact. Oshadi prioritises ethical treatment of its employees, working directly with local communities, offering competitive wages, and providing excellent working conditions. Upholding high standards of environmental responsibility and ethical production are core values for Oshadi.

Manos Del Uruguay

Every piece from Manos del Uruguay interweaves community and culture. Founded in 1968 by five women – Olga Pardo Santayana de Artagaveytia, Sara Beisso de Souza, Dora Muñoz de Cibils, María del Carmen Bocking, and Manila Chaneton de Vivo – this worker-owned cooperative in Uruguay thrived in the face of adversity. Drawing inspiration from the richness of their local culture, these women harnessed the beauty of craft and materials to improve their lives and the lives of their community. More than half a century later, Manos del Uruguay stands as a testament to the power of community and a passion for artisanal crafts.

Oshadi

The Social Studio

The Social Studio is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to providing work and learning opportunities in fashion and the arts for Melbourne's refugee and new migrant communities. Founded in 2009, it began with a shared vision amongst Melbourne community members, local designers, and fashion industry professionals: to use up-cycle fashion as a tool for social change and empower young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. By working collaboratively with the wider community, The Social Studio has developed a unique not-for-profit model focused on empowerment. This initiative creates education and employment pathways, integrating wider new migrant and refugee communities along the way.

Abenval is a distinguished ceramic studio, led by Alfredo Benítez Valero, situated in the serene Spanish countryside. Alfredo's lifelong passion for the arts, fostered since childhood through constant drawing, painting, and creating, finds expression in every piece he crafts. His studio embodies traditional Spanish ceramic artistry, where each item is meticulously designed and handcrafted to reflect his artistic vision and dedication to the craft. In collaboration with Silk Laundry, Alfredo has created an exclusive ceramic jewellery line, designed in Barcelona. This collection seamlessly merges traditional craftsmanship with Katie Kolodinski's artistic vision, celebrating exceptional artistry.
